Best Week Ever

We got married ya'll!
We've spent the first few days of our marriage making a 22 hour drive back to the city and restoring our apartment (b/c of the unfortunate pest situation). We can see the floor now. We leave for our honeymoon tomorrow. When we get back next month, I'll share some more details (and pictures!) from this past week and from Europe. I will say that we had a fabulous time and were overwhelmed by the generosity, love and support of our family and friends. To everyone who made the trip, and to those of you who were there in spirit: thank you, thank you, thank you! We will be in touch when we return. Until then, here is a peek:

Greetings from the Road

We began our southbound journey yesterday morning. We stopped by DC and spent the night in Fredericksburg, VA. DC was nice, but it was super hot and humid and I wasn't into walking around. We couldn't really go inside anywhere because of the little man. He's having a good time.

Larry goes to the White House:

Ahhhhh!

It's been a very eventful week.
We practically moved out in preparation for the exterminator and now it looks like we just moved in. We have to leave it this way for 2 weeks because he's coming back for another treatment. I am sleeping on an air mattress and Daryl is sleeping on the couch.
This weekend I am working 12 hour days, and Daryl is in charge of the packing while I'm gone. Tonight we went down to the East Village in the rain to buy Daryl some socks because he wanted my opinion on which ones to buy. This is a very random, rambling, boring post. Sorry. I have to go do stuff.

Hello, June

What happened to May?
Things have been pretty hectic around here. We're having some pest problems in our apartment and it's been a nightmare trying to prepare our place for the exterminators to come in. It's basically like we're packing to move out, except nothing is taken anywhere. We have to empty out all of the drawers, closets, cabinets and push all of the furniture to the middle of the room. The contents of our nooks and crannies go into giant plastic bags that sit in the middle of the room as well. We even have to remove all of the plates from the electrical outlets. It would be a terrible hassle even if we weren't working extra hours and trying to plan a few trips and a wedding in the meantime. On top of it all, Larry is very confused about the whole situation and has been behaving very badly. When we take him for walks, he refuses to walk back towards the direction of our apartment. I've had to pick the little porker up and carry him home a few times, and it's rather embarrassing. I guess I don't blame him too much. I don't really enjoy coming home to this disastrous bug infected shoebox either.
